From a single stone chosen just for you to a fully original design drawn from scratch, we guide you through every step so the result is exactly what you imagined — and often even better.

What Makes a Zevar Bespoke Piece Different

Mass-produced jewellery is made for everyone. A Zevar bespoke piece is made for one person: you. We work with a curated network of diamond cutters and goldsmiths, which means we can source stones that never appear in retail showcases and execute settings that most jewellers won't attempt. Every design decision — metal, cut, prong style, finish, engraving — is made intentionally, with your story in mind.

No catalogues, no compromises. Your design is drawn from scratch, not adapted from a template.
Direct stone sourcing. We hand-select diamonds and gemstones for each commission, so you see exactly what you're getting before anything is set.

The Custom Design Process — Step by Step

1. Discovery Consultation (Week 1)

We start with a relaxed, no-obligation conversation — in person, over video, or by phone. You share your inspiration: a mood board, a sketch on a napkin, a photo, or simply a feeling. We ask questions, discuss lifestyle and wearability, and establish a realistic budget. No pressure, no obligation to proceed.

2. Design Proposal (Weeks 1–2)

Based on our consultation, we create detailed hand-drawn or CAD renderings of your piece. You'll see multiple angles, metal options, and stone placement. We revise until every detail is exactly right — there's no limit on revision rounds at this stage.

3. Stone Sourcing & Selection (Weeks 2–3)

Once the design is approved, we source diamonds or gemstones that match your specifications. We present a curated shortlist with GIA or IGI certification details, photos, and video so you can compare options side by side. You select the stone you love.

4. Production (Weeks 3–8)

Your piece is cast, set, and finished by hand by our master goldsmith. We send progress photos at each milestone — wax model, casting, setting, and final polish — so you're never in the dark.

5. Final Reveal & Delivery

Your completed piece arrives beautifully packaged with full certification documentation, a care guide, and a valuation letter for insurance purposes. If you're local to Vancouver, we love doing an in-person reveal.

Timeline Expectations

Most bespoke commissions are completed in 4–8 weeks from deposit. Rush timelines (2–3 weeks) are sometimes possible depending on current production capacity — ask us at your consultation. We always recommend starting conversations at least 6–8 weeks before any significant occasion to allow time for design refinement and stone sourcing without pressure.

Deposits & Payment Terms

A deposit of 50% of the estimated total is required to begin production. This covers stone sourcing and the initial casting. The remaining balance is due upon completion, before delivery. We accept major credit cards, e-transfer, and wire transfer.

If at any point during the design phase (before stone sourcing begins) you decide not to proceed, your deposit is fully refunded — no questions asked. Once stones have been sourced and production has begun, the deposit is non-refundable but can be applied toward a future commission.

Consultations & Appointments

Consultations are available in person (Vancouver), by video call, or by phone — whatever is most comfortable for you. First consultations are always complimentary and carry no obligation. For in-person appointments, we recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance so we can prepare relevant materials for your meeting.

Metals

14k & 18k Yellow Gold — classic warmth, ideal for everyday wear
18k White Gold — bright and modern, rhodium-plated for maximum brilliance
Platinum — the most durable option, naturally white, recommended for heirloom pieces
Rose Gold — romantic and contemporary

Diamonds

We source natural diamonds and lab-grown diamonds, all certified by GIA or IGI. We present options across the full 4C spectrum (Cut, Colour, Clarity, Carat) and help you understand exactly what each trade-off means for brilliance and value. We do not buy uncertified stones.

Gemstones

We work extensively with sapphires, rubies, emeralds, and alexandrites, and can source most coloured gemstones on request. Ask us about ethical and origin-traceable options.

Past Custom Work

Every Zevar bespoke piece is one-of-a-kind, and client privacy is important to us — we share past work only with permission.
